Statement of the Free Assembly of Iranian Workers

We Strongly Condemn the Court Summons of Sadigh Karimi and Foad Keikhosravi

Sadigh Karimi, a member of the board of directors, and Foad Keikhosravi, an activist member of the Free Assembly of the Iranian Workers have been summoned by the branch one revolutionary court in the city of Sanandaj. According to their summons, Sadigh Karimi and Foad Keikhosravi will attend the court session at 10:30 a.m. on July 20.

Sadigh Karimi and Foad Keikhosravi were arrested and interrogated on May 1st of this year by the security forces in the city of Sanandaj. They were accused of attempts in organizing the May Day celebration events in the city. Later they were accused of disturbing national security through membership in the Free Assembly of Iranian Workers by the court. They are going on trial on these same charges on July 20th.
